Sustained silent reading

Throughout my teaching career, I believed strongly in the importance of teaching reading.  One of the most powerful tools I used, every year I was a teacher, was Sustained Silent Reading (SSR).  The flexibility of the program let me meet the needs of every student in my classes.  NNSTOY invited me to write a post for their website and they published it today.  You can see it here.
