Sport Literate published my essay "Summit Storm," which is an account of a blizzard which trapped seven of us high on the icy slopes of Mount Rainier. We dug snow caves with our ice axes and waited out the storm. We were finally able to descend with no injuries or damage. It was an experience earlier in our climbing careers that helped us be realistic about later decisions. You can see their contents of their current issue here, but "Summit Storm" does not have a link. It is a good literary journal if you decide you want to buy a copy.
