the sun magazine

The Sun magazine publishes powerful first-person essays, interviews, and fiction.  Writing in The Sun tends to be thoughtful, emotional, and memorable.  I had tried to publish with them a couple of times, but no luck--until now.  They have a section on the theme Accomplishments in the August 2017 issue (their 500th issue), and I wrote a short piece about learning an important lesson about being rejected as a writer.  It appears on page 38.
